In 3 ðŸ”¬ scientific studies among patients with psoriasis, mindfulness-based therapies (audio-guided mindfulness practice with positive visualization & 8-week MBCT) have been shown to speed up the clearance of psoriatic skin lesion during light therapy, reduce the severity of psoriasis & increase the quality of life. Among 120 dermatology patients in an outpatient clinic, the level of mindfulness accounts for a significant amount of the variance in psychological distress and quality of life.
